Bent, by Martin Sherman:  Tony-nominated in 1980 for Best Play, and voted “10 most influential postwar British Plays” by the Guardian UK, this path-breaking drama is a lesson in history, a cautionary tale, and a tragic love story about the Third Reich’s persecution of homosexuals and the pink triangle, a sewn-on badge of shame for gay men in the Nazi concentration camps.
