December 30, 2017 - Greensboro, NC:

This preview provided by Greensboro Symphonic Orchestra.

Join the GSO on December 30th for a multimedia tribute to cinema classics and the Golden Age of Broadway! This multimedia spectacle features music from shows and films such as "West Side Story," "Singing in the Rain," "A Star is Born," "Meet Me in St. Louis," "Guys and Dolls," and more, plus behind-the-scenes stories and rare clips of the Gershwins, Mickey Rooney, and Judy Garland!

Presenting this multimedia spectacular are award-winning pianist Richard Glazier, soprano Natalie Cordone, and Rainbow Room veteran, Michael Andrew! Michael was the headline singer and bandleader at the famous Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller Center in New York, as well Merv Griffin's Coconut Club in Beverly Hills. Griffin refers to Michael as "one of the greatest singers of all time" and Jerry Lewis as "one of the best talents to come down the pike in 50 years."

Natalie Cordone is equally at home on the operatic and Broadway stage, performing as a young artist with Orlando Opera and soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also performed in dozens of plays & musicals, from Off Broadway to Las Vegas to North Carolina, and is a proud alumna of Wake Forest University, where she also vocal directs.

Richard Glazier, a classically-trained and award-winning pianist, has been the focus of three award-winning, nationally broadcast television specials by PBS, has been featured on the PBS NewsHour and produced six CDs for Centaur Records. He is a close family friend of the Gershwins and has performed in many venerable halls, including Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution and more.

Don’t miss this symphonic premiere with the Greensboro Symphony and this sensational trio!
